About us

As featured by Strings Magazine and WQXR, wholesoul is a group of string players who explore the full range of sound textures that a string quartet can produce. Having studied at prestigious institutions such as Juilliard, New England Conservatory and The Peabody Institute, our sound is unparalleled. Don’t hold our classical background against us; we're not your typical quartet.

wholesoul is the vanguard for the next generation of string quartets. Our passion/curiosity for non-classical genres, coupled with our own original arrangements of Hip-Hop/R&B/Soul hits exemplifies our vision for string playing of the 21st century, and as musicians we are dedicated to preserving the legacy of string playing and securing its place in the future of music. In 2025, wholesoul was invited by The NAMM Show to perform as part of its 2025 Bands at NAMM showcase, and has performed for globally recognized brands such as Meta, Walmart, Shondaland, NBCUniversal, and The Los Angeles Dodgers.

Founded in 2022, we've already had the opportunity to work with some of the most notable artists of our time. Notable credits include recording for Hozier's album “Unreal Unearth” and Papa Roach’s album “Wake Up Calling”, features in Jennifer Lopez's Prime Video documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told" and “Flowers for RDCworld” presented by YoutubeBlack, and collaborations with notable artists such as singer/songwriter grentperez, producer/violinist Bad Snacks, Flyana Boss, Jesse Harris, and Toby Gad.
